词块写作教学法在高职英语教学中的应用

On the Application of the Chunk-centered Writing Approach in English Teaching of Vocational Colleges

词块是英语教学中高频出现的大于单词的语言现象,包含了单词、短语、习惯搭配和惯用句型等。近年来,词块在英语教学中的作用受到越来越多外语教育工作者的重视。针对高职学生在英语写作中常犯的一些错误,有关专家提出了在英语写作教学中采用词块教学法。实践表明,词块写作教学法有利于提高学习效率,大幅度提高学生英语写作水平。

Chunks are frequently seen in foreign language learning, including such diverse patterns as words, phrases, collocations and sentence structures, etc. Lately, chunks have drawn more and more attention in English teaching. The paper discusses the mistakes found in students＇ writings with the feasibility of implementing the chunk-centered teaching approach and provides some instances to illustrate feasibilities. The above approach proves to be effective and efficient in improving students＇ writing ability.
