从战争时期到和平建设时期,我国卫生事业都是在毛泽东卫生思想指引下发展起来的。改革开放以来,党中央继承和发展了毛泽东卫生思想。《中共中央、国务院关于卫生改革与发展的决定》所确定的新时期卫生工作方针,在许多方面继承和发展了毛泽东卫生思想。 毛泽东卫生思想是以毛泽东同志为代表的老一代无产阶级革命家在创建和发展中国革命卫生事业过程中所形成和发展起来的关于卫生工作的科学指导思想。

The new health policy which is determined by the 'Decision of Health Reform and Development'of CC-CPC and the State Council inherits and Develops Mao Zedong Thought in many respects. The 'two services 'reflect the close combination of the peop'e and revolution of Mao Zedong thought. The 'laying em-phasis on rural areas ','prevention first', 'depending on science and technology and education'and 'mobilizing the whole society taking part in health activities 'inherit and develop the rural health, prevention, health manpower developmint and great health outlook thought of Mao Zedong, respectively.
