Teachers serve both as director and main force in the process of college English teaching reform. Their teaching philosophy should be changed and a new relationship should be established between teachers and students in the reform.. Language teaching is a student -centered teaching and teachers should enhance the cooperation with the students as students are the main body of cognition and mental development. In an increasingly informational teaching environment and in their teaching practice, teachers should try to perfect themselves in all aspects and fulfil the task of role change in college English teaching reform.
