NOTES ON THE GENUS DACUS FABRICIUS IN CHINA WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF FIVE NEW SPECIES (DIPTERA: TEPHRITIDAE)

中国寡鬃实蝇属 Dacus Fabrcius目前已知6亚属31种。本文记述其中的5个新种:锈红寡鬃实蝇D.(Bactrocera)rubiginus sp.nov.,海南寡鬃实蝇D.(Didacus)hainanus sp.nov.滇寡鬃实蝇D.(Asiadacus)dianensis sp.nov.,盾条寡鬃实蝇D.(Zeugodacus)adustus sp.nov.,狭腹寡鬃实蝇D.(Zeugodacus)stenomus sp.nov.;记载5个中国新纪录:实胫寡鬃实蝇D.(Bactrocera)correctus(Bezzi),短条寡鬃实蝇D.(Zeugodacus)abbreviatus Hardy,印度寡鬃实蝇D.(Zeugodacus) scutellaris(Bezzi),番石榴寡鬃实蝇D.(Hemigymnodacus)diversus Coq.,黑背寡鬃实蝇D.(Paratridacus)expandens melanius Hardy & Adachi;并列出种检索表。

This paper deals with 31 species of the genus Dacus Fabricius from China, among them 5 species are described as new to science, 4 species and 1 subspecies are recorded for the first time in this country. All the type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Zoology, Aca-demia Sinica.Dacus (Bactrocera) rubiginus sp. nov. (fig. 1)This new species resembles to D. (Bactrocera) zonatus, but is distinguished from the latter by the following characters: wing with a wider brown costal band extending to the apex of cell Rs and not interrupted in cell R3; r-m .crossvein not strongly oblique and the meeting point with vein m 1+2 situated near apical 2/5 of cell 1M2; the lateral postsutural yellow vittae slightly attenuated posteriorly and ending just before the base of inner postalar bristles.Length: body 6.5-7.0 mm; wing 6.0-6.5 mm.Holotype ♂, Hainan Provence (20°N, 110°24'E), 10. Ⅴ. 1936; paratypcs 3♂♂, Guangzhou city (23°6'N, 112°42'E), Guangdong Province, 6-26. Ⅷ. 1983; 3♂♂, Guangxi Province (22° 48'N, 108°14'E), Ⅵ-Ⅷ. 1984, collected by Zhao Ming-zhu.Dacus (Zeugodacus) adustus sp. nov. (fig. 2)This new species closely related to D. (Zeugodacus) cucurbitae and D. (Zeugodacus) ste-nomus sp. nov. by having 2 scutellar bristles, the 5th sternum of male with a slight concavity on hind margin in the subgenus Zeugodacus Hendel, but differs by scutellum yellow with a broad median black vitta; the costal band of wing intcrrupcd in cell R3, apical black spot of wing smaller; and by lacking brown transverse band along m-cu crossvein.Lenght: body 7.0mm; wing 7.5 mm.Holotype ♂, Mt. Emei (29°30'N, 103°18'E), Sichuan Province, 30. Ⅳ. 1957, collected by Huang Ke-ren.Dacus (Zeugodacus) stenomus sp. nov. (fig. 3)This new species very simillar to D. (Bactrocera) elegantulus, but differs in the brown costal band not extending to the apex of vein m 1+2; the 1st tergum of abdomen obviously longer and narrower; the 5th sternum of male entirely blackish brown, about 1.6 times as wide as its length and slightly concave on hind margin. It is related to D. (Zeugodacus) cucurbitae also, but readily differentiated by approximately black ground colour of body; two pairs of inferior-orbitals and by lacking brown spot on r-m crossvein. Length: body 6.8 mm; wing 6.2 mm.Holotypeo♂, Mengamengde (22°48'N, 100°50'E), Yunnan Province, 29. Ⅹ. 1958.Dacus (Asiadacus) dianensis sp.nov.(fig. 4)This new species is easily distinguished from known congeners by the followng features: (1) with a single pair of inferior-orbital bristles and scutellar bristles; both anterior supraalar and prescutellar bristles absent; (2) the brown costal band interupted in cell R3, apex of wing with a large circular brown spot; (3) the 4th tergum of abdomen with hook-shaped black markings on each side, sterna 1-4 of male yellow, 5th sternum brown and slightly concave at hind margin.Length: body 5.0-5.5mm; wing 5.0-5.5mm.Holotype♂, Yiwubanna (22°30'N, 100°40'E), 650 m, Yunnan Province, 27. (Didacus) ciliatus Loew, but differs from the latter in the posterior portion of mesonotum with a yellow transverse band; the cubital streak absent, and by lacking black spot on 3rd tergum.Length: body 4.7-5.0 mm; wing 4.5-4.8 mm.Holotype♂, Hainan Is.
