摘要
目的:研究苦瓜提取物(Mornordica charantia extract,MCE)对实验性糖尿病小鼠血糖、糖耐量和血清胰岛素水平的影响,旨在建立一个分析和评价苦瓜提取物降血糖活性的动物模型。方法:采用腹腔注射链脲佐菌素(STZ)的方法建立小鼠糖尿病模型,通过灌胃给药比较不同样品作用效果。结果和讨论:苦瓜提取物有明显的降血糖效果,其降血糖效果与其放免分析数值的高低相一致。实验所使用的苦瓜提取物对实验小鼠血清胰岛素水平的影响均不显著。苦瓜提取物的降血糖作用可能是通过调节糖代谢、促进肝糖原合成引起的而非通过刺激胰岛素分泌引起的。
Objective :The aim of this study is to investigate the hypoglycemic effect of Momordica charantia extract (MCE) on Streptozotocin - induced diabetic mice, An animal model was established for estimating the hypoglycemic activity of MCE products. Methods :The streptozotoein induced diabetic mices ( n = 32 ) were divided into four groups randomly. The animal in group A were given physiological saline as control group compare to those of group B and C that were given MCE Ⅰ and MCE Ⅱ , respectively, and those of group D that were given Glipizide. The effects of MCE on blood glucose concentration,glucose tolerance, serum insulin level were investigated. Results :The MCE products reduced the blood glucose concentration significantly in streptozotoein induced diabetic mice. which results are consistent with those of insulin radioimmunoassay. Furthermore,the MCE Ⅱ improved the glucose tolerance. Both MCE Ⅰ and MCE Ⅱ shown no activity in reducing the serum insulin level. Conclusion : The MCE products shown significant hypoglyeemie aetivity in Streptozotoein - induced diabetic mice. It was assumed that MCE products reduced blood glucose concentration by regulating the metabolism of carbohydrates,increasing hepatic glycogen synthesis or inhibiting hepatic glycogen deeompostion, but not by stimulating pancreas cell to excrete insulin.
