王稼祥早年思想曾经过较深刻的转变。他抛弃读书为谋生的观念,转而寻找真理;他摆脱封建婚姻的桎梏,投身革命;从追求进步的少年转变成了具有初步共产主义思想的青年。他早年思想发展的特点:一是勤奋好学,善于独立思考;二是紧跟时代步伐,不断修正自己的人生目标;三是其思想中也存在一定的空泛成分。

Wang Jiaxiang＇s thoughts in his early years have undergone great changes. He discarded the idea of making a living by having better education and turned to seek for truth. He got rid of the fetters of a feudal marriage and devoted himself to revolution. He changed from a lad going after progress to a youth with rudimentary communistic ideas. His thoughts in early years were characterized by industry, inquisition and independent thinking, and by keeping pace with the times and amending his life aims, and finally by voidness.
