The research advance in inheritance of stay-green traits of maize leaf blades

摘要 综述了玉米叶片保绿性的概念、分类、生理特点、遗传特性和保绿性QTL定位等研究进展,并对玉米保绿性遗传研究进行了展望。 Stay-green, or delaying leaf senescence and yellowing at the later stage of plant growth, is regarded as a desirable character for crop production. This paper reviews the research advance in inheritance of stay-green traits of maize leaf blades, such as the concept, classification, physiological characteristics, genetic characteristics, and QTL mapping of stay-green traits, and further makes prospects for studies of inheritance of the stay-green traits.
