空巢老年人社会支持与心理健康的相关研究

Correlational Study on the Social Support and Mental Health of Empty Nester Older Adults

以宁波市266名老年人为被试,采用《老年心理状况调查表》和《社会支持评定量表》考察空巢老年人的社会支持和心理健康现状及其相关关系,结果发现,空巢老年人的心理健康水平显著低于北京市普通老年人常模;空巢老年人获得的社会支持明显低于非空巢老年人;对社会支持的利用度也低于非空巢老年人,但未达到显著水平;宁波空巢老年人的社会支持与心理健康具有显著正相关。所以,应该设法提高空巢老年人的社会支持水平,以促进空巢老年人的心理健康。

The Mental Health Inventory for Chinese Elderly and the Inventory of Social Support were used to examine the correlation between social support and mental health status of empty nester older adults based a sample of 266 older adults in Ningbo. The results indicate that ： 1 ） Mental health of empty nester older adults is significantly lower than the norm of older adults in Beijing. 2） The social support of empty nester older adults was significantly lower than that of non - older empty nester. It is also found that the utilization of social support of empty nester older adults was lower than that of non - older empty nester, but it did not reached the significant level. 3 ） Significant positive correlation is found between social support and mental health of empty nesters older adults. The authors suggest that more social support should be provided to empty nester older adults to improve their mental health.
