The City of Yingkou is located near the center of Liaoning Province, on the eastern coast of the Liaodong Gulf in the Bohai Sea. It is among the earliest ports opened to foreign vessels, and it is the closest and second largest port in Northeast China. It is also one of the major growth cities along the coast.
