Last year, China Textile Leader published an article discussing EU and US regulations on the use of decabromodiphenyl ether （ DecaBDE ） for textile flame retardants （ Dombrowski, R., CTL, Dec.2006, 34-36 ）. In this issue,Peter Wragg presents a voluntary approach undertaken by several companies in response to the European Union＇ s official risk assessment of this chemical＇ s use.
