DEA Method and Foreign Direct Investment Efficiency Analysis:Industrial Perspectives

本文利用数据包络分析法(DEA)对中国2000—2005年"三资"行业的效率进行总体分析和评价,并且在此基础上对山东、北京、广东、上海四个地区"三资"企业的行业效率进行比较分析和评价。研究结果表明,中国"三资"企业行业DEA效率普遍比较低,且平均规模效率(SE)呈现明显的递减趋势,各行业的平均纯技术效率(PTE)年度变化不大。因此,2000—2005年期间的"三资"企业各行业的平均技术效率值递减主要是由于平均规模效率递减导致的;同时四个地区"三资"企业行业在总体效率、纯技术效率与规模效率方面存在地区差异。

This paper uses DEA method, analyzes the industrial efficiency foreign direct investment enterprises in China, from 2000 to 2005. And analyzes the DEA efficiency from regional perspective, includes Beijing, Guangdong, Shandong, Shanghai. The results find that the DEA efficiencies of foreign direct investment enterprises are low generally, and average scale efficiency appears the obvious decreasing trend, the changes of average pure technology not distinct. Therefore this paper considers that the decreasing of average technology efficiency results from the decreasing of average scale efficiency. And this paper also finds that there are some differences of industrial DEA efficiency in regional perspective.
