Elementary Introduction to College English Lexical Acquisition

词汇习得在大学英语学习中占有重要的地位。词汇是语言的三个要素之一,是各项语言能力的基础,词汇的学习和掌握会直接影响英语学习者各项语言能力的提高。分析了学生在词汇学习上的误区和遇到的困难,提出了一些提高英语词汇习得效率的方法,如:词根词缀法、重视词汇短语的学习、广泛阅读以及重视隐喻的学习等。

Lexical acquisition holds an important part in college English learning. As one of the three elements, lexicon is the basis of all language abilities. Lexical acquisition directly influences the improvement of English learners＇ language abilities. Some misconceptions and obstacles in lexical acquisition are analyzed. Besides, several effective methods on how to enhance lexical acquisition are introduced, including the method of roots and affixes, valuing the learning of lexical phrases, extensive reading and laying stress on the learning of metaphor.
