现代农业是农业生产力发展过程中的最新阶段,具有发展的可持续性、多功能性、技术密集性和高生产能力、高市场竞争力、高劳动生产率等基本特征。发展现代农业,从区域经济角度来看,最有利于促进县域经济的发展,对提高县域居民收入水平,巩固县域基础产业地位,拉动县域市场需求,促进县域二、三产业发展以及维护县域社会稳定具有重要作用。

The purpose of the paper is to explore the relationship between modem agriculture and development of economy in county region. Modem agriculture, as the latest phase of the agricultural historical development, has basic characteristics of sustained development, multi - function, intensive technology and higher throughput, higher competitive capability, and higher labor productivity. To develop modem agriculture will play an important role in increasing income of residents, stimulating market demand, developing secondary and tertiary industries, and stabilizing society of county region. The paper concludes some suggestions.
