全面推进素质教育,培养与现代化要求相适应的高素质人材,学校从应试教育转变为新型的素质教育,关系到中华民族的长远发展。素质教育的实质在于促进学生内在身心的发展与人类文化向个体心理品质的内化。音乐教育具有开发智力、促进学生的形象思维能力、想象力和创造能力的进一步发展,提高学生智能,陶冶情操,培养良好的道德品质,使学生身心健康成长。器乐演奏对于激发学生学习音乐的兴趣、提高学生的审美能力、发展学生的创造性思维有着十分重要的作用。音乐教育是素质教育不可缺少的环节。

To improve quality education completely and foster high-qualified talents to meet the requirement of modernization, the school should transform from the exam-oriented education to new quality education, which is related to the long-term development of the nation. The key of quality education lies in improving the inside development and the internalization of human culture to individual psychology. Musical education helps to tap intelligence, to improve students＇ image-building ability, imaginative and creative ability, and cultivate their fine moral quality in order to make them grow healthy mentally and physically. It is one of important functions of musical instrument to arouse students＇ musical interests, to raise their aesthetic ability and increase the creative thinking. Musical education is an inevitable part of quality education.
