Newest Development of EU Risk Assessments of Flame Retardant Effects on Environment and Human Health

The following issues were reviewed and analysed： 1. the newest developments of EU risk assessments of flame retardants;2, flame retardant risk assessment programmes started recently; 3. regulations and codes concerning the use of flame retardants, which were formulated and issued newly ; 4. some contradictions about decabromodiphenylether in the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment（RoHS） Directive.
