Following What the Heart Desires but Not Over the Rules: The Orientation of the Translator in the Literary Translation

文学翻译过程中,译者一方面受到原文本的制约,具有"否认自我"的心态;另一方面,译者作为译文本的原创者,又不可避免地带有自己的主体能动性,具有"张扬自我"的心态。成功的译者,就要努力在两种心态之间寻求最佳的均衡点。

In the process of literary translation, on the one hand, the translator is constrained by the objectivity of the original text; on the other hand, the recognition of the original textg objectivity does not mean the absence of translator＇s creative interpretation to the original text. Therefore, the translator should seek a balance between his creativity and the objectivity of the original text in the process of literary translation.
