The separation of sharp and round tone in the pronunciation of Henan Province dialect is not only a historical but also a realistic problem. This feature of Henan Province dialect is an obstacle in the public actions and communication. To change the sltuation,thls article investigates how the feature is formed,how it developted and the resuefs of other＇s studies.
