Influence of passive smoking on the growth of children

目的探讨被动吸烟对儿童生长发育的影响。方法对泰安市6个县市区采用简单随机抽样的方式对3～6岁儿童进行调查,通过家长填写问卷的方式,调查内容包括不同年龄儿童的被动吸烟量及吸烟年限;测量儿童的身高体重;近一年呼吸道健康状况。结果被动吸烟儿童感冒、肺炎、支气管炎、哮喘发病率均高于无被动吸烟的儿童（P值〈0.05或〈0.01）;家庭成员的吸烟量和吸烟年限与儿童呼吸系统病症发生率呈正相关,即随被动吸烟量的增大,家庭成员吸烟年限越长,患呼吸系统疾病的儿童所占比例逐渐升高（P值均〈0.05或〈0.01）;有被动吸烟儿童的身高及体重均低于无被动吸烟者（P值〈0.05或〈0.01）。结论被动吸烟对儿童健康造成危害,应引起全社会关注。

Objective：To research into the influence of passive smoking on the growth of children.Methods： Simple random sampling was used to research into children aged 3 to 6 in the 6 counties in the Taian City,through questionnaires filled by parents on the amount and years of passive smoking of their children at different ages,the children＇s height and weight,and their respiratory health in the past year.Results： The incidences of catching cold,pneumonia,bronchitis and asthma for children with passive smoking were all higher than those for children without passive smoking（P〈0.05 or P〈0.01）.The family members＇ smoking amount and smoking years were in positive correlativity with the incidence of respiratory diseases of their children,that is,with the children＇s amount of passive smoking increase and the family members＇ smoking years increase,the percentage of children with respiratory health increased（P〈0.05 or P〈0.01） statistically.The height and weight of children with passive smoking were both lower than those of children without passive smoking（P〈0.05 or P〈0.01） statistically.Conclusion： Passive smoking is very harmful to children＇s health,which should be greater concern of the society.
