Heat transfer operation of 6000m3/h air separation machine deteriorat- ed due to serious blockage of air channels of a plate heat exchanger. Shutdown of the ma- chine due to lower level of liquidated oxygen used in main cooling is presented. Plate unit heating treatment methods adopted and points for attention are described.
