Comparative Study Between Chomsky′s Linguistic Theories and Cognitive Linguistics

乔姆斯基语言理论和认知语言学都是反对行为主义的语言观,主张研究人的心智、思维过程和认知策略,都认为可通过研究语言来了解人类的心志,从而认识到语言与认知的密切关系。但这两大语言学派还是存在着一系列根本的分歧。文章从哲学理论基础、语言研究的途径以及理论分歧等方面对乔姆斯基语言理论和认知语言学进行对比分析。

Both Chomsky＇s linguistic theories and cognitive linguistics are against behaviorism.They study human being＇s mind,the process of thinking and cognitive strategy.They think that linguists can know human being＇s mind by the means of studying language and realize the close relationship between language and cognition.But there exists a series of basic differences between these two theories.This paper makes a comparison of Chomsky＇ linguistic theories and cognitive linguistics from three aspects： philosophical basis,research methodology and the differences of theories.
