Research of Image Compression Based on Wavelet Transform

小波变换为图像纹理分析提供了一种基于多尺度、集频谱、结构和统计方法于一体的综合分析方法,该方法在纹理特征的提取、分类和分析中的有效性已受到有关研究人员的重视。为了使人们对这一方法有一个较全面的了解,对基于小波变换理论的图像纹理分析的研究与进展情况进行了较系统的论述,并通过实验说明小波变换理论在图像处理中所发挥的重要作用。

Wavelet transforms supply a synthetical analytical mean based on muli-scale and integrated into frequency, structural and statistical methods for image texture analysis, and its efficiency in abstraction features, classification and analysis of image textures has caught more attentions than before. This paper makes an introductory review on the image texture ana- lytical techniques including the last achievement in this field.
