Two stable ura3 - mutants of Candida tropicalis (DQ and DZ) were isolated by chemical mutagensic. The results indicated that plasmid pRM1, which contains a ARS fragment from Candida albicans , can work efficiently in these mutants. A vector host system in C.tropicalis was deve loped and the mouse CYP1A1 gene has been expressed under the control of P450alk promoter.
