This paper makes brief introduction to the ＂Seabird Island First Nation Sustainable Community Demonstration Project＂, which is for the whole Canadian aboriginal residents. The authors explain the way that the project combines traditional culture and building techniques with advanced energy saving tactics to create a kind of revolutionary new and self-sufficient pattern of housing development by making good use of ripe low-tech energy saving tactics.
