文章对专家系统技术在设备故障诊断方面的应用进行了研究与探讨。建立了一个煤巷掘进机液压故障诊断专家系统，介绍了系统的结构、知识表示、推理机制及知识获得等。

The paper discussed the application of expert system technique in machine fault diagnosis. A fault diagnostic expert system for coal entry tunneller’s hydraulic system has been built, and the system structure, knowledge acquirement and experssion, inference rules were introduced.
