宋志怪小说地域特色论略

A brief analysis of the regional features of novels about ghosts and gods in classical Chinese in the Song Dynasty

首先,从宋代文言小说作者籍贯与作品数量两方面着手考述,可以归纳出宋代志怪小说的地域分布特征。其次,结合地域文化分析了这一特色产生的原因。首先是浓郁的巫术鬼神及术数信仰,他们认为无论个体还是时代的盛衰治乱,都被鬼神所决定,都可用术数以预知,故而常常用它们来指导自我人生乃至社会事务,这直接为志怪小说的繁荣提供了丰富的题材。其次,离不开这些地方的自上而下的从最高统治者到普通老百姓的对志怪小说的喜好和提倡。

The regional distribution of novels about ghosts and gods in the Song Dynasty can be summed up according to the native places of writers of novels in classical Chinese in the Song Dynasty and the numbers of their novels. The reasons for such a regional feature are analyzed by taking regional culture into account. The first reason lies in a strong flavour of belief in witchcraft, ghosts and divination. It was believed that the ups and downs of either an individual or an ara were determined by ghosts and gods and everything could be foreknown by divination, so such beliefs were often used to guide self-life and social affairs, which directly provided rich materials for the prosperity of such novels. Another reason lies in thd interest and advocation from highest rulers to ordinary people.
