The article introduces the overall design thought of Xinglin Bridge Project in Xiamen, and points out the highway become the hub and the ligament for the airport, harbor and railway logistics center for the development of the comprehensive grade separation traffic. The lack of the traffic resource also makes the relationship of the highway with the other traffic modes being closer and closer. The highway design should be placed at the height of the comprehensive grade separation traffic, fully understand various requirements of traffic development, handle the relationships among various traffics well, and promote the harmonizing development of various traffic modes.
