\ On the base of analyzing the relationship of author, editor and reader, the author points out in the article that the capability of the editors plays a decisive role in the quality of a periodical. Further more, the author, in view of her own experience and understanding, expounds the different aspects of the capability required of an editor specialized in tourism, including such common requirements as editorial knowledge and periodical thought, and particular requirements such as knowledge in tourism and practical experience in tourist activities.
