论述了工程造价在设计阶段的重要性,及其在工程建设过程中的重要地位,提出运用价值工程原理来提高工程造价管理工作水平,从而保证以合理的工程造价,达到最佳的投资收益。

Based on the expansion and renovation project of a company, the paper illustrates the importance of cost of construction in the phases of both design and construction, analyzes its relation with the phase of design. Some suggestions are presented to raise administrative level of cost construction and to achieve best investment benefit by application of value engineering principle.
