摘要
从1999年我国高校开始扩招至今的短短几年,我国已经步入了高等教育大众化阶段。为迎击社会各界对高等教育质量下滑的诘难,一些学者提出了扩招后的“大众化高等教育”与扩招前的“精英教育”有别的论点以回避问题。但是精英教育是一种教育理念与教育方式方法,同高等教育的大众化与否无关。我国社会经济、科技、文化的发展既需要普通劳动者,也需要精英。我国的高等教育应大众化与精英化并举,并可从加强分类指导、强化精英意识、加强政策导向等方面逐步推进。
China＇s higher education has stepped to popular education from 1999 when colleges and universities became to increase of recruit students to now. In order to disprove the people＇s blame to quality decline of higher education, a few scholars put forward the idea that popular higher education after increase of recruit students is different from elite higher education before increase of recruit students to avoid the blame. However elite education just is a kind of educational idea and way, which is foreign to higher education popularization. Our nation＇s development in economy, science, technology and culture needs not only general labors but also elites. Thus China＇s higher education should pay equal attention to popular and elite education. Moreover we can gradually push the development by strengthening guide according to college＇s sort, consolidating idea of elite and strengthening policy guide.
