Component GIS is a new generation GIS system which adjusts to component development of software.This paper talks about the application of Component GIS on Urban Land Grading with Visual Basic program language and ActiveX component provided from SuperMap Company.The characteristic of Component GIS is introduced in the paper.The function of system and established method and skill of all modules are expounded and analyzed in detailed.In the end,the shortage of system is put forward.
