佤族民间文学价值试探

On the Value of Folk Culture of the Wa People

佤族是分布于云南西南边境地区的一个人口较少的少数民族。由于这一民族历史悠久而又有原始部落社会历史"活化石"的社会特点,佤族部落原始社会的民间文学比一些发展较快的少数民族文学显得更为粗犷、古朴和丰富。论述佤族民间口碑文学的社会历史内涵,并概括和揭示其多方面的艺术特点和价值。

The Wa People, a minority group with a small population, distribute in southwest Yunnnan. The Wa People, characterized by ＂Living Fossils＂ of a long history and witnessed the primitive society, so their folk literature developed fast among primitive tribes at different stages in history. Their literature is straightforward, unconstrained and simple in form and abundant in contents. Nevertheless, due to the lack of written form to record, the distance far from the hinterland and big city, and particularly the frightened custom ＂chop heads for sacrifice＂, few literate people have been there and have a deep research. Today, the Wa People＇ s literature keeps a blank in Chinese literature history research, only some sporadic writings exist. The gem of folk literature is unknown. Therefore, the author would like to have a few words here, to attract more good opinions, so as to push the folk culture research forward.
