摘要
离散光线跟踪是一种三维物体快速显示算法,它由三维物体体素化和光线跟踪绘制两部分组成.本文讨论了此种算法的原理及其在石油地质构造立体显示中的应用.实验结果表明,在相同的软硬件环境下,应用离散光线跟踪算法生成三维石油地质构造图象的速度比传统的光线跟踪算法快几十倍,而且这种方法可以灵活方便地改变光源特性,光照特性和视角参数,生成的图象有良好逼真的视觉效果.
Discrete ray tracing ( DRT ) is an algorithm applied to fast 3D ( three dimension ) rendering, which is composed of voxeling and ray casting. This paper discusses the principle of the DRT and technology and its application in the 3D rendering of petroleum geology structures. Our study indicates that the DRT is much faster speed the ordinary ray tracing method for petroleum geology structures. Moreover, DRT algorithm not only changes conveniently light sources and view point parameters, but also offers pictures with fine visual effects.
