在石油消耗量日益增长而石油储藏量日趋减少的今天，如何经济地开发边际油田，成为石油工业的热门话题。而怎样选择一个最优的边际油田开发方案，则是一个急需解决的决策课题。适用于边际油田和极浅海区油田开发的轻型平台技术具有良好的应用前景，BZ34—3／5平台油田就是很典型的例子，结构的突出技术是在导管上安装了卡桩器，阐述了卡桩器的工作机理及应用。
