摘要
大学英语专业阅读课的教学,主要是配合基础英语课,以大量的阅读材料,使学生在阅读过程中学习和巩固语言基础知识,提高阅读技能,培养学生的分析、归纳、综合和推断能力。阅读课为学生提供大量阅读的机会,对学生增加词汇量、加深对词汇含义的理解、增强语感和提高阅读理解能力都有重要作用。
English reading is the fundation course of English major students. It helps to develop the students＇ reading ability and other abilities. It is a good way to enlarge the students＇vacabulary and deepen their understandings. But how to teach it effectively is a problem encountered by most English teachers. In this essay, the author puts forward some basic models and some principles concerning English reading teaching.
