The Major Events of Ming History compiled by Gu Yingtai, an important scholar in early years of Qing Dynasty, is a famous historical book which has held an important status in the historiography of Qing Dynasty. It has rich historical resources and high reference value to the later compilation of the history of Ming Dynasty. The massive historical comments it contained, which expressed the opinion of summing up historical experiences for lessons, had important realistic significance.
