包括古代文学研究在内的所有人文社会科学的基础研究,都不能迎合“当下”,而应该相对超脱。只有超脱才能从现实的利害中解脱,使研究不受眼下功利的干扰;只有超脱才能登高望远,探讨那些深奥的甚至是“形而上”的理论问题,以期产生高质量的、影响久远的研究成果。基础研究追求的是“学术价值”,而富有学术价值的成果,是学术研究者向社会、甚至是向未来奉献的宝贵财富,这也是他最大的“当下关怀”。

All of researches in basic science of humanistic social sciences, in which ancient literature research is embraced, can＇t pander to ＂reality＂, instead, they should detach. Only detaching can they be free from reality, they aren＇t interfered by present utility, the researchers ascend a height to enjoy a distant view, discusses those abstruse even metaphysics theoretic problems, expecting high quality research results with long effect. Researches in basic science aspire after ＂learning value＂, and the resuhs with learning value are precious treasure which the researchers offer up to society, even future, which is the largest ＂Instant Solicitude＂ given by ancient literature research.
