The joint munitions technology program is a cooperative research project proposed in mid 1980s between the Departments of Defense and Energy in US. The progress of advanced initiation systems and fuze area was summarized and its characteristics were analyzed. The program has been proved to be a successful plan in promotion technology infrastructure of weapons system.
