大众文化与中国当代先锋电影存在着复杂的辩证关系。先锋电影会利用大众文化的艺术元素,商业电影也从先锋电影那里获得技巧,先锋电影甚至可以直接成为一种商业时尚。在当代中国的文化语境中,一方面,大众文化与先锋电影具有相似的反叛主流意识形态的功能;另一方面,先锋电影也与大众文化一道成为主流意识形态统治和整合大众的工具。
