The selection of retaining scheme of extension project of one commercial building in Hangzhou as well as design calculation of this remining structure is introduced. Wall-type support with retaining pile, reinforcement treatment of passive zone, section excavation and other methods are adopted to ensure the safety of surrounding facilities and reduce influences to neighbor residents, which provide good references for the design and construction of similar works in the future.
