The article discusses the causes of pavement damage in the weak section of Chang-Shen line of provincial highway before its pavement reconstruction engineering from design and construction, analyzes the main manifestations of crack damage, and points out that man should prevent the occurrence of cracks from design, construction, and maintenance management, in order to prolong service cycle of bituminous pavement and increase its investment results.
