In order to better predict the fracture and cavity distribution of the carbonate reservoir in Abiod formation in Upper Cretaceous in S Oil and Gas Field, North Africa, the paper applied FTEC and Ant-Tracking techniques to predict the cavity and fracturing systems in this area in combination with the drilling data. The study results indicate that the structure fracturing role is the main factor controlling the reservoir forming and developing in S Oil and Gas Field, and the fracture is the main permeating and flowing channel in the reservoir; it is also shown that FTEC method can effectively predict the fracture and cavity of the reservoir in the areas where the structure is fluctuant and complicated, and can effectively overcome the limitation of the volume-based Ant-Tracking fracturing system prediction method. The joint application of the two methods effectively improved the prediction precision of the fracture and cavity in the carbonate reservoir, which provided a new method and an idea for the fracture and cavity prediction in the carbonate reservoir in S Oil and Gas Field.
