摘要
今年7月份,笔者有幸在美国科罗拉多州的中央城歌剧院(Central City Opera)遇上过去30多年来的歌剧偶像——女高音嘉芙莲·马尔菲丹诺。她上世纪70年代踏上青云路,在各国的大大小小歌剧院出演托斯卡、莎乐美、蝴蝶夫人,每场演出都同样轰动。这位世界驰名、演技唱功一流的杰出歌剧演员,从2005年开始扩展自己的艺术领域,首次尝试歌剧导演。这次在中央城歌剧院,她第二次担任导演,准备吉安·卡洛·梅诺蒂(Gian Carlo Menotti)的《布利克大街的圣者》(The Saint of Bleecker Street)。马尔菲丹诺这位天王巨星花了2个多小时与《歌剧》读者分享她当演员和当导演的种种想法,还有她对郭文景《诗人李白》的观后感。
Catherine Malfitano is a household name in our operatic universe.She has graced stages big and small,and appeared in opera films and on television worldwide.In 1972,Malfitano made her debut as Nanette(Falstaff)at Colorado's Central City Opera,which launched her successful career.Two years ago,she made her directorial debut in Madame Butterfly in the same opera house,In July,we were lucky to catch her again in Central City directing Menotti's The Saint of Bleecker Street.She spends time sharing her great wisdoms on singing,acting ,directing and teaching with Opera readers.She even shared her enthusiasm for Guo Wenjing's Poet Li Bai,which she found very moving.
