On the Role of Social Psychological Representation to Comprehend the Metaphors in the Cognitive Context

从认知语言学的角度分析了社会心理表征的形成,以及社会心理表征对于理解由文化因素而构成的隐喻的作用。社会心理表征的独特性在于,它的形成并不一定要依赖人的直接经验,而是依赖于具有相同历史文化背景的某一社会团体长期凝练形成的认知语境。认知语境的操作以"知识草案"和"心理图式"为基本单位。对认知语境中某些文化因素构成的隐喻的理解,实质上就是对已经固化在人的意识中的"知识草案"和"心理图式"的激活。

This paper made an analysis of the formation of social psychological representation through cognitive linguistics and its role of understanding the metaphors from the cultural elements. The uniqueness of social psychological representation is that it does not necessarily rely on a person＇s direct experiences but on the cognitive context, which is formed through a long time in a certain social group with the same historical and cultural backgrounds. The operation units of cognitive context are knowledge script and psychological schema. The comprehension of the metaphors composed by cultural elements in the cognitive context, virtually, is to activate the knowledge script and psychological schema solidified in people＇s mind.
