The Special Tariff Conference held in 1925 was an important one in the history of Sino-foreign relations.The paper discusses the activities of the business circle(including Shanghai Genesal Business Council and Shanghai Native Banks Association)in Shanghai,such as the preparatory work before the conference,suggestions and discussion of important issues during the conference.It also reveals the positive influence of Shanghai Business Circle upon the Special Tariff Conference.
