The research on regional social history has to follow the inner line of development of a region.Prof.Xing Long's new book Jinshui Drainage Area with Water as the Focus discussed the social history of Shanxi with his topics centered round water.He fully interpreted the interactive relationship between society and 'water' as the culture,displayed the significance of water to regional society and advanced the study of hydropower social history.
