The Japanese Corpus of Civil law contributes a lot to its national revival, economic development and social progress. As the first corpus of civil law in Asia, it has successfully integrated the nationalism and intemationalism, the modernity and reality, and the codifying and fusing of civil law system under the basic guidelines of transplanting, pursuing substantial results and the widest incorporation.
