An Application of Correspondence Analysis in the Distribution of Disease Seasonality

目的探讨对应分析方法在疾病季节分布中的应用。方法用对应分析方法对兖州市8种主要传染病各月份发病情况进行分析。结果从对应分析的因子负荷图中可以看出有些疾病具有明显的季节性。结论因子负荷图直观地表述了各疾病与月份之间的内在联系与分布特征。理论与实践表明对应分析法适宜于疾病与季节性关系的分析,并可获得良好的效果,能为卫生决策者提供准确的信息。

Objective To explore the application value of correspondence analysis in the distribution of disease seasonality. Methods We adopted correspondence analysis method to analyze each month morbidity situation of the 8 main infectious diseases in Yanzhou city. Results According to scatter plots of row and column points, some diseases have the obvious seasonality. Conclusion The scatter plot of row and column points indicates directly the characteristics of the distribution and the inner relationship. Practice presents that correspondence analysis method is suitable for analyzing the relationship between the diseases and seasonality. It has good effects and we can offer accurate information for the leadership in the field of health.
