About the Dual Role of the Democratic Parties' Political Participation

在中国特色社会主义政党制度中,民主党派的政治参与具有双重功能,即对其成员和所联系社会群众的利益代表功能和协助中国共产党为实现和维护社会公共利益服务的功能。正确认识和充分发挥民主党派在政治参与中的双重功能,是新世纪参政党建设的重要课题之一。

Under China＇ s political party system with Chinese characteristics, the democratic parties＇ political participation plays dual role, i.e. representing the interests of their party members and the public, and assisting the CPC to safeguard the public interests. It is one of the major issues for the construction of participating parties in the new century for them to properly understand and give full play of this dual role of the democratic parties.
