目前,我国的非政府组织正处于继续发展壮大的有利环境中,作为党和政府密切联系社会各界人士、全面了解社情民意的桥梁和纽带,其作用越来越突出。非政府组织的发展为统战工作拓展了新领域,增加了新内容,提出了新要求,所以,从统一战线的角度关注非政府组织,并以非政府组织为载体创新和发展统战工作,是统一战线适应统战成员社会化和开拓统战工作新局面的必然要求。

At present, the NGOs in China are growing fast. Being a bridge for the CPC ＆ the Government to maintain close ties with peoples of all circles and to find out the overall conditions and wills of the public, NGOs are playing more and more important roles. The development of NGOs resulted in new contents and new requirements for the United Front work. Therefore, it is necessary for the United Front to pay attention to NGOs and to innovate and develop the United Front work by taking NGOs as the carrier.
