"哈比.旦克"是海伦.加纳借以总结自己写作生涯第一阶段的一支曲子。笔者结合海伦.加纳早期的四部代表作品:《毒瘾难戒》、《荣誉》、《别人家的孩子》和《孩子们的小屋》,将海伦.加纳渗透在这四部不同的作品中,就新世界和新一代人对情感、性、家庭和社会的思想观念逐一进行了综合性的剖析。

Habe Dank is a song used by Helen Garner to conclude the first stage of her writing career. Combined with the meaning of this song, the author, in this thesis, tries to compare Garner＇s four works in her early writing period： Monkey Grip, Honor, Other People＇s Children and The Children＇s Bach, so as to explain and analyze further the new generation＇s ideas and opinions, which are penetrated in these works by Garner, towards love, sex, family and the society.
